DevidasPawarservice recruit I.A.S. who was Deputy Secretary Textiles in Government of Manharshtra was denied pension for fourteen years on a fake and flimsy complaint and a subsequent Departmental Inquiry. He was acquitted in D.E. yet to him pension was denied. Dr. Krantikumar Sharma successfully fought violation of Human Rights of this Banjara VJNT Officer. He was granted pension with past effect and arrears were also given. Daily Lomat Marathi gave wide publicity to the success of Human Rights Group.
Another PIL was filed against Government of Maharashtra against giving extension to crony chief secretary Mr. Banthia PIL No.53 of 2013 after his retirement obstructing chances of promotion to the next officers one of which was a woman officer. Question of CEDAW protection to one woman officer was also raised. The Group got partial success by stopping second consecutive extension to the same crony officer.
4 lacbut the Government of Maharashtra said they cannot give beyond Rs. 10,000. The check was given by Tahsiladar.
Public Interest litigation was filed in 2004 in Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court against contractualization of permanent jobs under the guise of Globalization. The case was disposed in limne by ordering petitioner to go to Supreme Court under article 32.
The group also had filed PIL under Indecent Representation of women (Prohibition) Act 1986 taking objection to half nude women in advertisement in The Times of India but it was dismissed in default. The court system needs improvement.
